Qualifications and training

  • I am a registered student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working in accordance with the requirements of the Ethical Framework (http://www.bacp.co.uk)
  • I am in the final year of my integrative counselling diploma, which enables me to work with clients aged 17+
  • As an integrative counsellor, I use a range of approaches to tailor the counselling sessions to the needs of each client. I am trained to listen and support clients in a non judgmental way.
  • I work collaboratively with clients and focus on building real and meaningful client-counsellor relationships.
  • For the past 6 years, I have been working with and supporting care experienced young people, refugees and asylum seekers, youth at risk, school leavers and university students through mentoring. I support young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing, physical health, identity, and relationships.
  • Since 2011, I have volunteered as a mentor for youth in transition and I support young people with their independence and wellbeing.

  • 22 years of expertise teaching and mentoring students in an educational context. During that period, I have sensitively delivered several interventions suited to the individual to help children and their families during stressful moments such as bereavement and emotional difficulties
  • I have considerable experience working with children with emotional issues, Asperger Syndrome and ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, and visual impairments, as well as awareness of safeguarding and special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Attachment, domestic violence, trauma, and anxiety are all topics that interest me.
