Self Horizons Counselling
Everybody has times when they feel low. Depression is when you feel this way for weeks or months at a time and how it effects your ability to get on with and enjoy your life.
Anybody can become depressed and you are not alone. Depression can affect people in a number of different ways. It can impact your body, mood, behaviour and thoughts. Symptoms can include feeling tearful, irritable and angry, to losing interest in the things you used to enjoy and having less energy. There is no one single cause for depression. Anybody can experience it. Lack of sun light during the winter can be a factor, experiencing a recent bereavement or perhaps a relationship breakdown.
Counselling can offer a space for you to explore your feelings and have them acknowledged and accepted. A counsellor will listen to you without judging you. A counsellor can look at finding different ways to cope and look at strategies and self-care techniques. At Self Horizons we can help you discover and explore the root cause of your depression and look at ways to regain your confidence.
